Dr. Jessica P. Smith DMD
Dr. Jessica P. Smith, DMD, graduated from the Messalonskee school system. She received a bachelor's in Arts from The University of Maine at Farmington in biology and chemistry. Further obtained an Associates in Dental Hygiene from The University of Maine at Augusta. Upon Maine opening a graduate dental school in Portland, she was accepted and graduated with the second graduating class in 2018.
Dr. Jess Smith spent the first three years practicing as a general dentist and clinical director at a local non-profit dental center.
In June 2021, Dr. Jess started PS Dental, pllc, where she continues to serve the community with her training. She employs a team of warm, intellectual, hard-working people who share her passion for oral health. She participates in a local study club for dentists, oral surgeons, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists. They share and help each other with cases and learn techniques to improve their knowledge and skills.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Jess likes to spend time outside in gardens, hiking, snowshoeing, swimming, or just soaking in the sun. She enjoys music and jokes but has no musical qualities or ability to tell jokes. Dr. Jess spoils her two dogs and two cats and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves to travel to new places no matter how far or near.
Loretta Gunther
Loretta began her dental career as an endodontic assistant in 2011. She later transitioned to a non-profit dental center as a dental assistant, quickly obtaining the role of office manager. Loretta eagerly joined the PS Dental team in August 2021 as office manager shortly after its establishment.
Loretta drives a long distance to the office to fulfill her responsibilities. She specializes in helping patients make the most of their dental benefits. She enjoys the patients and is passionate about delivering quality service and attention.
Loretta grew up in Maine. She enjoys everything about it except the cold. In Loretta's free time, she prefers to read, hike or spend it with family.
